2015 Chelsea Community Fair: Alissa Trinkle crowned 2015 Fair Queen (with slideshow)

Alissa Trinkle of Dexter began Friday morning at Ladies Day where she learned she’d been named the runner-up junior homemaker.

She finished the evening as the 2015 Chelsea Community Fair Queen winning the talent portion of the contest in between.

The daughter of Tony and Julie Trinkle, she rode into the fair queen competition venue on her horse then explained her many years of riding in several different disciplines of equine equitation including hunt seat and saddle seat competitions.

First runner-up and Miss Congeniality went to Emma Young also of Dexter, who played the clarinet and is the daughter of Alex and Kelly Young.

Second runner-up went to Kylie Kuebler of Chelsea who played the violin and is the daughter of Darryl and Kolleen Kuebler.

Third runner-up was Taylor Luckhardt of Dexter who gave a showmanship demonstration of four species of animals — a rabbit, a lamb, a dairy cow and a steer. Luckhardt was the 2014 Senior Showmanship winner at the Chelsea Fair. She is teh daughter of Katrina Luckhardt.

Also competing were Hanna Brodeur of Chelsea who recited from memory “The Gettysburg Address” and Kelsey Olberg of Chelsea, who did a dance routine.

Brodeur is the daughter of Joe and Rosie Brodeur and Olberg is the daughter of Rick and Stacey Olberg.
