The Beach Middle School 8th grade gold volleyball team opened its season on Monday, Sept. 17 with a win over Lincoln.
The team won their set with scores of 25-9, 14-25 and 27-25, according to information from the school.
“Everyone put in a great effort. Anna Knight was key to the win with her strong serving, scoring 11 points in the first game and also helping the Bulldogs come from behind 20-24 to gain a win in the nail-biting last game,” Kim Eder said in an announcement.
Other strong servers for the night were Hannah Stock, Autumn Johnson, Kelsey Walz and Cassie Lungo.
Strong defensive play came from Johnson, Walz, Jade deGracia and Megan Harrington.
“Great job to all the girls,” she said.
