I managed to snag a quart of the first strawberries from northern Indiana recently at the New Chelsea Market… you know what that means! It’ll be no time at all before they’re in abundance at the local markets. To tide you over until then, you’ll find the following goodies at the Bushel Basket Farmers Market at the Chelsea Community Hospital tomorrow from 2:30-6 p.m. The list, as always, is courtesy of Joan Lutchka. Rain today, clear tomorrow for the Chelsea Farmers Market downtown… we hope. Here’s some of what you’ll find at the market from 8 a.m. until noon. They’re still tweaking the permanent location and parking/traffic arrangement for the Market, so you may find it on the east side of the Park Street parking lot tomorrow (next to the First United Methodist Church).
Walkers will circle the track for 24 hours in this year’s American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Chelsea, starting Saturday at 10 a.m. at Pierce Lake Elementary.
