Drivers on north Main Street got a surprise this morning: the driver of a Toyota Tundra owned by Conklin Plumbing lost control and crashed into a house at 604 N. Main Street. As you can see in the photo gallery below, the truck is actually holding up what’s left of the porch.
In a pleasant change for Farmer’s Market shoppers, Park Street will close this summer to allow the market to spill across the road. Major roads in and around Chelsea will be under construction, if the schedule set by the Michigan Department of Transportation for upcoming improvements comes to pass.
All construction on roads that the Michigan Department of Transportation is responsible for (including all area state routes and interstates) is done for the year, MDoT spokeswoman Kari Arend said.
