The Chelsea District Library can help high school students decide whether the ACT or the SAT is the best test for a college-bound student.
According to information from the library, both the ACT and the SAT are nationally administered standardized tests that help colleges evaluate candidates, and all schools accept either test interchangeably.
The library will offer a 3.5 hour Combo Practice Test to help students decide which test is right for them. Plus, they will receive feedback comparing their performance on each of the test sections of the two exams.
The combo test will take place on Saturday, April 20, from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., at 500 Washington St., Building 100, Room 100 North and registration is required.
Students are asked to bring a calculator, several sharpened No. 2 pencils with an eraser, and a snack to eat during the short breaks.
Then, they can find out how they scored on the combo practice test and learn how to improve the results on Saturday, April 27, from 1-4 p.m., in the library’s McKune Room. This is a drop-in event for combo test participants.
