Chelsea High School’s popular show choir Company C will hold their annual “FUNraiser” on Wednesday, April 2, from 5-8 p.m. at Smokehouse 52 BBQ.

The event will feature live performances from the kids, previewing their spring One Voice show – Across the Pond, featuring the music from the Brits, spanning 50 years.

“This is such a fun event for the kids,” says Company C Director Steve Hinz. “They get to perform up close for friends and family. This is also our biggest fundraiser, which helps cover the costs of the show.”

The event is open to the public on a first-come basis and there is no fee to attend. Guests may order dinner and bid on a variety of silent auction items which include trips, sports tickets, gift certificates, jewelry and much more.

There are also several raffles during the evening as the kids perform select songs from their spring show.  Proceeds from the fund raising activities along with a portion of the evening’s tips and receipts go toward the costs of costumes, music, staging and advertising for the spring shows.

“We are again grateful and very appreciative of the Tolliver family for allowing us to hold the event at the Smokehouse 52 BBQ,” says Hinz.

The restaurant is located at 125 S. Main St. and the phone number is (734) 562-2565.

The Company C and Jr. C spring show “One Voice: Across the Pond” is May 16 and 17, 7:30 p.m. at Chelsea High School.

Tickets will go on sale soon at Chelsea Pharmacy.
