Since 2014, the Cole Family has been cooking up free hotdogs and handing out chips, cookies and a drink in the Cole Funeral Chapel parking lot to folks heading to and lining up for the Chelsea Community Fair parade.
And, it’s been so much fun for them during the last few years, they plan to continue the tradition this year on Saturday, Aug. 26.
With so many people lining up near their business at 214 E. Middle St., Wendy and Allen Cole thought it might be nice to get the afternoon off to a wonderful start with a free meal for everyone.
They will be serving grilled hotdogs from 11 a.m. until the start of the parade at 1 p.m.
They never know how many people will stop by, but it’s always a great crowd, and a great place to chat with folks you might not see very often during the year.
