The Wednesday Chelsea Farmers Market is home to Needle-Lane Farms, which is located in Tipton, Mich.
The farm owners pride themselves on having a diverse ecosystem on its 70 acres, which includes native plantings, fruit trees, bee hives, and chickens.
Needle-Lane Farms began in 2003 and offers more than 200 varieties of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. The farm uses three heated greenhouses and seven hoophouses.
Stop by the Needle-Lane Farms stand Wednesday for a variety of seasonal vegetables and plants grown in a compost-based organically approved seeding mix from non-go, non-treated seeds.
At the market, you’ll also find Madeleines, roasted peanut butter cookies, and brioche, along with honey, and cheese, seasonal fruits, and pottery.
The market is located at the Chelsea State Bank parking lot at the intersection of M-52 and Old US-12 and runs from 2-6 p.m.
