The Beach Middle School wrestlers competed at the SEC Championships last Saturday in Tecumseh.
Nickolaus Matusko was the lone 1st place finisher for the Bulldogs. He dominated the 11 wrestler, 110-pound weight class and pinned all 4 of his opponents in the 1st period.
Shane Nold received a very unfortunate draw and barely lost to one of the best 95 pounders in the state in his first match. He went on to pin his next 2 opponents to finish in 5th place.
Jack Conlin was the only second place finisher.
Brandon deGracia, Josiah Fitch, and Anthony Gervais placed 3rd. Jack Krauss and Nick Christian placed 4th.
Other wrestlers to win matches on the day were Aidan Huchison, Andrew Byerly, Jack Smith and Anthony Pearse.
The wrestlers compete Tuesday in a dual meet in Saline.
