The Beach Middle School wrestling team kicked off their season Wednesday against Dexter and won the meet 71-27.
The loudest eruption from the crowd occurred when Andrew Byerly pinned his Dexter opponent in the second period.
Also winning matches for the Bulldogs were Parker Stahl, Nathan Quintana, Jack Smith, Nick Christain, Anthony Pearse, and Mitchell Reynolds.
A few wrestlers were able to wrestle 2 matches. Going 2-0 on the day was Gabe Vowles, Shane Nold, Nick Matusko, Anthony Gervais, and Mason Pustay.
The wrestlers next compete at the SEC tournament in Tecumseh Saturday.
