Beach Swim and Dive 2nd in Erie Mason Invite

The Beach Middle School swim team competed in the Erie Mason Invitational this past weekend and finished in 2nd place of the 6-team field.

Milan was first with 433.5 points, Chelsea 2nd with 335, Dundee was 3rd with 237.5 points, Riverview Seitz was 4th with 173 points, Erie Mason was 5th with 56 points and Greenhills was 6th with 39 points.

The Bulldogs were led by 8th grade Co-Captain Olivia Olk whose first place finish in the 50 butterfly also set a new school record. Her time of 28.83 broke the record which was held by Anna Vanesste who had a time of 29.16 set in 2013.

Molly Jacobson was the only other Invitational champion whose first place in the diving event led a 1st, 2nd, third sweep for the Bulldogs as teammate Megan Fletcher was 2nd and Melina Almhiemid 3rd.

Other top 12 performances included the 200 medley relay team of Alexis Nelson, Abby Robbins, Olk and Fayth Frazier, 2nd place and Lyric Restorick, Zander Hartsuff, Erin Frank and Kauri Fields 10th place.

In the 200 freestyle, Olivia Prodin was 7th, Courtnee Clouse 8th, Deaglan Krause 11th and Katie Leissner 12th.

Olk was 2nd in the 100 IM, Niko Fannin 4th, and Hartsuff 6th.

In the 50 freestyle, Nelson was 2nd, Frazier 5th, Jaron Ianelli 9th and Fields 10th.

Fannin was 5th in the 50 butterfly, and Robbins 9th.

In the 100 freestyle Frazier was 3rd, Iannelli 5th, Prodin 8th and Clouse 9th.

The 200 freestyle relay team of Frazier, Olk, Fannin and Nelson finished in 2nd place, Robbins, Fields, Prodin and Iannelli were 5th.

Nelson was 2nd in the 100 backstroke, and Frank was 11th.

In the 100 breaststroke Robbins was 3rd, Hartsuff 5th and Joseph Norwood 12th.

The 400 freestyle relay team of Fannin, Iannelli, Prodin and Hartsuff finished 3rd, and Clouse, Hannah Harmes, Krause and Fields placed 8th.
