Chelsea Area Fire Authority Board elects officers, sets meeting dates, new location

CAFA logo on doorThe Chelsea Area Fire Authority board held its annual meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 21 and re-elected Rod Anderson, the Chelsea representative, to the board as its chairman.

Craig Maier, the Lima Township representative, was chosen as vice chairman.

Linda Reilly, the Lyndon Township representative, was selected as secretary.

Kurt Koseck, the Sylvan Township representative, was elected treasurer.

The board also unanimously approved a change in its meeting location from Sylvan Township Hall to the council chambers in the new Chelsea Police Station and municipal building. The board will continue to meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m.

In addition, the board decided to disband meeting in subcommittees due to the size of the committee in relation to the small size of the board, and they agreed to begin taping the board meetings.
