(Chelsea Update would like to thank Carol Strahler for the information in this story.)

Four times a year members of the Chelsea Area Garden Club create a seasonal display for visitor’s enjoyment in the seven planters located at the Chelsea District Library.

Members recently created winter-themed displays consisting of various evergreens, milkweed and hydrangea spray-painted gold, bright cheery winterberry, various seedpods and giant pine cones.

Materials for the planters are collected from member’s gardens or are purchased with funds raised at the Spring Plant Sale held over Mother’s Day weekend every year.

  1. Thanks Lisa,
We appreciate all the work that you do….especially when it concerns the Chelsea Area Garden Club! I believe we all receive so much more enjoyment from creating (or working on) the planters around town than the citizens looking at them.
