At the request of the Michigan State Police Brighton Post, the Chelsea Police Department is releasing some surveillance images of a vehicle that may be in the area outside of Chelsea going door to door and using the cover story of selling cleaning supplies.

The Nixel report states this is an attempt to gain access to your house or determine if you are home. The vehicle according to the pictures is a late model possibly Dodge Caravan that is a light color possibly gray or silver with damage to the passenger side rear sliding door.

Any further information should be directed to the MSP Brighton Post 810-227-1051. If you see this or any other suspicious vehicle or subjects in the area, dial 911 immediately and report it to the local law enforcement officers so that they may follow-up on it.

Especially in instances of suspicious vehicles/people it is imperative to call immediately and provide as much information as possible, i.e. plate number description of the vehicle/occupants etc.

This is so that an attempt to locate the vehicle/subjects can be made prior to them leaving the area.
