The Chelsea boys’ track and field team (2-1) easily defeated Dexter 90-47, but Lincoln downed the Bulldogs 75-61 in SEC meet action Tuesday, April 24.

“The distance guys once again were dominant, outscoring both schools by a combined score of 61-3, but Lincoln took a 1-2-3 sweep in both hurdle races, as well as holding us scoreless the 100 and sprint relays,” said coach Eric Swager.

Hunter White was a bright spot, running season bests in both the 200 and 400.    His off-season work ethic has made a big difference, the coach said.

In addition to the scorers, both Will Scott and Liam Hartsuff ran Regional Additional Qualifying times in the 3200, and a bunch of young guys had lifetime distance bests.

Mike Tarasow continues to improve in the pole vault, and throwers James Mida and Anthony Pearce had good days.

The team travels to Mason Friday for an invitational and is back home on Tuesday, hosting both Pinckney and Tecumseh for the team’s final home meet of the season.

The team invites everyone to go to the football stadium and root on the Bulldogs.
