  • Tom Oates finishing 4th in the 1600 – this is a Chelsea sophomore record, and in the top 10 miles all time
  • 4×200 Relay, placing 5th overall
  • 1600 Relay – setting a school record of 3:23.39 and finishing 4th in the state. The record had stood since last century.
  • Noah VanReesema competed in the 300 Hurdles, and ran 40.73 to finish in the top 15.
  • 4×800 relay competed and did not place – but 3 of the 4 runners had lifetime best splits.
  • 4×100 relay finished tied for 9th, and just missed placing
  • Both pole vaulters competed hard.

“Our 19 points placed us in 12th place as a team out of 55 scoring teams,” Swager said. “There were 123 Teams represented at the finals out of roughly 150 division 2 teams in the state.”

He added, “Another outstanding season is in the books. We look forward to our banquet on Wednesday, and hitting the summer with a smile on our face. Thanks to all the coaches, fans, parents, and supporters for another top-notch year.”
