In additional to his monthly police report, Chelsea Police Chief Ed Toth introduced the Chelsea City Council to the newest member of the city’s police department at the March 19 meeting.
Jeff Tabeling, who retired from the Ann Arbor Police Department, was recently hired part time in Chelsea.
Toth said Tabeling had more than 20 years of experience including special operations training.
Chelsea PD responded to 289 calls for service in February. There were five traffic crashes, 65 traffic stops and 24 traffic citations issued last month.
