Chelsea DDA to meet Thursday to discuss Livery Building demo bids

The Chelsea Downtown Development Authority will meet on Thursday, July 17 at 7:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Chelsea Municipal Building.

On the agenda is an update on the Longworth alley project as well as a discussion of the bids for the demolition of the Livery Building at 110 Jackson St.

Also expected is an update on the decorative fence project to stop people from illegally crossing the railroad tracks.

But before then, Chelsea District Library representatives Bill Harmer, Robin Wagner and Gary Zenz have asked to speak to the DDA board, presumably about the upcoming library millage proposal on the Aug. 5 primary election ballot.

In addition, Bob Pierce, executive director of the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce, is expected to give an update on recent chamber activities.
