(Chelsea Update would like to thank Dennis Strzyzewski for the information in this story.)

The Chelsea freshman football team moved to 2-0 with a 47-13 win at Pinckney on Thursday.

Joe Taylor had over 100 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns. Tyler Valek had touchdown runs of 25 and 60 yards. A.J. Tokarski had two touchdown runs from 5 and 7 yards out. Logan Vaughn scored on a 3-yard touchdown run.

Branden Westcott and Corbin Steele each had 7 tackles to lead the defense.

“We were able to go in the road and play pretty well,” said coach Dennis Strzyzewski. “The kids ran to the ball a lot better defensively, and we came off the ball more aggressively up front on offense.”

“I am happy with the improvements we have made in the last week,” the coach said. “We still have a lot to learn, but the kids are working hard to get where we want to be.”
