The Chelsea Girls Golf Team wrapped up conference play on Monday, Sept. 28, with a 4th place finish in the SEC White Division Tournament at Eastern Michigan University’s Eagle Crest Golf Course.
“The 4th place finish in the tournament locked us into a 4th place finish in the final White Division standings. I felt going in, that if we played our best, we had a chance to move up a spot or two in the standings. We were close, but it just didn’t quite work out,” said coach Joe Ewald.
The scoring was tightly bunched for the Bulldogs. Mackenzie Benning led the way with a 109, followed closely by Katelyn McKinley and Maddie Vasquez with a pair of 110s, and Rose Sanville with a 116.
Maddie Vasquez was named All Conference for the SEC White Division, based on points accumulated during the season.
Chelsea will compete at regionals on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at Monroe Country Club.
