The Chelsea High School Track and Field JV girls team performed very well Wednesday night at the Jackson JV meet, medaling in 10 out 17 events.
There were a number of PRs as well, said coach Loren Thorburn, adding, “This was a fun meet to attend.”
Highlights:
Senior Gwen Lansky placed 2nd in shot and 3rd in discus.
Seniors Taylor Freyre and Elizabeth Higgins placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively in the 400.
The 4×400 relay of Fannin, Doss, Burgess, and Schneider placed 1st in a come from behind win.
The 4×100 relay of Doss, Schneider, Burgess and Freyre placed 2nd.
Mallory Bee placed 1st in 3200m.
Reece Doss placed 2nd in the long jump.
Kyle Bragg finished 3rd in the 800.
The 4×200 relay finished 3rd.
