The Chelsea Girls Track and Field Team came home with two wins at the double dual meet hosted by Adrian Tuesday night.
Chelsea defeated Adrian 71-66 and Ypsilanti 124-13.
“We were solid in our performances in field events, hurdles, and open races,” said coach Loren Thorburn.
The team finishes this week with the Stockbridge Invitational on Friday.
Highlights:
Hannah Almhiemid placed 1st in the 100m hurdles, 1st in the 300m hurdles, and 2nd in the high jump.
Sydney Matusik placed 1st in the 200m dash and 400m dash.
Sabrina Matusko placed 1st pole vault with a height of 8′ 6″.
Jesse Jacobusse with a banged up shoulder and sore ankle still came through with much needed points in the 1600m and 800m by placing 2nd.
