The Chelsea Golf Team hosted Tecumseh on Tuesday May 9 at Reddeman Farms, and came away with a win in a very close match 165 to 167.
“I knew they would give us a good match, but it was much closer than I anticipated, or was comfortable with,” said coach Joe Ewald.
Scoring for Chelsea was Lucas DeRosia with a 38, Kurt Jolly shot a 41, and Preston Ewald, Brendan Doyle, and Ross Stofflet all had 43.
On Thursday, May 11, the Bulldogs traveled to Lenawee CC for a match with Adrian and came away with another win, 166 to 181.
“Adrian has been building and getting better over the last few years, and they have a couple pretty good players, but our depth gets us through a lot of matches,” the coach said.
Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Tyler Emmert with a fine round of even par 36. Lucas DeRosia was next with a 40, Ben Brannon shot a 44, and Kurt Jolly had a 46.
