Patients and visitors to the Chelsea Chiropractic Center are now being treated to a taste of spring when they come in the office. That’s thanks to students at Chelsea High School and the artwork they provide for Dr. Jim Duncan‘s office.

Students have been decorating the bulletin board in Duncan’s office for the last two years. The current artwork, which includes symbols of spring, was created by artists Abe Cone and Roy Schmidt Jr. Art teacher Laura Naar acts as liaison between the students and Duncan.

“The students are asked to include something with the spine or something to do with chiropractic,” said Duncan. “Each animal in this picture has anatomical parts such as spine or ribs. Other than that, students are free to create on their own.”

Duncan says that his patients enjoy the artwork and are impressed at the level of talent the students display.

“Many patients said they couldn’t wait to see what was on display during their next visit,” said Duncan. “They appreciate that we partner with the high school art program and students and offer a venue for the students to display their original works.”

The Chelsea Chiropractic Center has been owned by Duncan since 2001. He cares for patients of all ages and treats them for headaches, back and neck pain, and more. The office is located at 901 Taylor St.
