This week, the Chelsea Kiwanis Club helped students at South Meadows Elementary celebrate raising their grade point average through the BUG Program (Bring Up Grades). In addition club members were part of the Ice Cream Social at South Meadows to say farewell to another school year.

Club members are also expected to attend an amateur swap meet at the Chelsea Community Fairgrounds on Sunday, June 5 from 8 a.m.-noon.

On Monday, June 6, we will be visiting the Kiwanis Club of Saline meeting at Brecon Village at 5:45 p.m.

The speaker will be Peter Allen, local visionary, property developer, and instructor at University of Michigan Ross School of Business. His program is titled “On the other hand”.

Normally, the club meeting begins each Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy-Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m.

Everyone is invited to the club’s meetings to learn about Kiwanis. Go to www.kiwanisclubofchelsea.org for more information.
