Chelsea Kiwanis Club installs new officers

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

Last Monday, the Chelsea Kiwanis Club installed officers and directors for the 2015-6 fiscal year. They are as follows: President Tom Ritter, President-Elect Jim Randolph, Secretary Ray Kemner, Treasurer Bob Milbrodt, Past President Joe Scheuring, Directors are Thuy Bui, Neil Horning, Marcus Kaemming, John Knox, Marianne Knox, Jim Love, Gene Miller, and David Schaible.  The induction was conducted by Ben Probert, past governor of the Michigan District of Kiwanis, and current member of the Chelsea Club. These folks in large part decide the expenditures of hands-on projects and monetary service to the Chelsea area of between $60,000 and $80,000 each year.

This Monday, the club will hear from Matt Pedlow, our Chelsea teacher famous for his field trips to the Gettysburg battlefield. We are impressed with his thorough knowledge that he imparts to his students and our club. We are happy to contribute support for his yearly expedition.

The meeting begins at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy-Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m.

Everyone is invited to the meetings to learn about Kiwanis and check our their web site at www.kiwanisclubofchelsea.org.
