“Partnering with SRSLY and building strong relationships in our communities is what community banking is all about. This contest is a win-win for SRSLY and Chelsea State Bank. It’s a solid partnership we are excited to launch in August,” Mann said.

“We are thrilled that Chelsea State Bank is supporting SRSLY with this Facebook contest,” said SRSLY Coalition Director Reiley Curran, MPH. “It is a great way to raise awareness about our coalitions in Chelsea, Dexter and Stockbridge. Broad community support is key to our success in preventing youth substance abuse, and this is an easy way people can get involved.”

srslylogoSRSLY is a community coalition dedicated to the prevention of destructive behavior in youth. It was formed in Chelsea in 2008 in response to local data showing that teens in Chelsea were more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol than state and national averages.

In 2012, community leaders in Stockbridge and Dexter decided to organize their own SRSLY coalitions to address youth substance abuse in their towns. SRSLY promotes positive family and community involvement and school bonding, and works to limit youth access to alcohol and other drugs, and reduce parental approval of youth drug use.
