(Chelsea Update is running a series on businesses in Chelsea beginning with those that belong to the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce, and this week it’s ATI Physical Therapy, which last week held a ribbon cutting for its new office.)

ATI Physical Therapy, which owns 71 facilities in Michigan, opened its Chelsea office in June at the Chelsea Shopping Center, 1110 S. Main St.

ATI offers access to physical therapy, sports medicine, and workers’ compensation services.

“To accommodate schedules of all types, our ATI Chelsea clinic offers early morning and evening hours,” said Brian Rog, clinic director and primary physical therapist at ATI Chelsea. “We offer complimentary screenings where we’ll assess areas of discomfort and provide next step recommendations in care.”

Rog has worked as a physical therapist for 26 years. Lisa Rathfon is also on the staff at ATI Chelsea and has a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan. She has worked in the field for 25 years.

The Chelsea clinic accepts most major insurance carriers.

“ATI Chelsea participates with many local provider networks,” said Rog. “We strive to get all new patients started with therapy within 24 to 48 hours from the moment that they call to schedule an appointment.”

He says that ATI’s services will complement the existing hospital system as well as private medical practices in the Chelsea community.

“It is important for us to establish a collegial relationship with all business leaders in the community,” Rog explained as a reason for joining the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce. “ATI is a strong believer in giving back to the communities where we work and live whether it be through the services we provide or through our foundation that helps physically disabled children in need.”
