The Bulldogs took on some tough competition Saturday in the 3rd annual Kargel Classic, defeating Linden (45-25), Allen Park (67-12), Onsted (62-11), Northville (56-14) and Jackson Northwest (31-27) – a team that had defeated Chelsea earlier in the year.
So many of the wrestlers stepped up that this was truly a team effort, said Adam French.
There were a number of exceptional individual performances. Suffering just one loss on the day were:
- Noah Holton 1-1
- Mason Trinkle 2-1
- Eric Whitaker 2-1
- Quinton Clark 2-1
- Trevor McTaggart 3-1
- James Mida 3-1
- Michael Barnes 4-1
- Zach Taylor 4-1
Going undefeated (5-0) for the Bulldogs were:
- Jacob Jacobusse
- Corbyn Munson
- Nicholas Matusko
- Josh Dosey
- Gus Reynolds
- Reed Aldrich
“It was a terrific time for the wrestlers,” French said, adding there is a home quad meet Wednesday at 5:30 against Lincoln and Ann Arbor Huron.
