Chelsea’s Jordan Niehoff headed to West Point

Congressman Tim Walberg, R-7th District recently announced the appointments of six students from Michigan’s 7th District to attend a U.S. military service academy.

“Michigan is filled with some of the best and brightest young leaders our country has to offer, and these students are shining examples of success in the classroom and in the community. I congratulate these young men and women on receiving such a prestigious appointment, and our nation is forever grateful for their commitment to military service in the years to come,” said Walberg.

The following students were nominated and received an offer of admission to an academy:

West Point
Jordan Niehoff of Chelsea – Chelsea High School
Ben Watson of Saline – Saline High School

Naval Academy
Duncan Farrant of Hanover – Hanover-Horton High School
Samantha Fox of Saline – Saline High School

Air Force Academy
Bradford Isenhour of Jackson – James O’Neill High School in New York
Nathanial Lavery of Jackson – Jackson High School
