SEMCOG, the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, recently awarded nearly $13 million in Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funding and over $900,000 in Planning Assistance Program funding to local communities for a total of 50 projects.
Lyndon Township, via Washtenaw County Road Commission, received $404,950 for a shared-use path along M-52 through TAP funding.
Chelsea received $40,000 for a road safety audit for the intersection of Freer Road and Dexter-Chelsea Road through Planning Assistance Program funding.
