Class of 1973 plants tree in CHS Alumni Arbor

Thanks to the generosity of CHS graduates and the community of Chelsea, it appears that every class from 1943 to 2017 will have a tree planted in the Alumni Arbor.

It’s expected that many of the trees will be planted on May 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. but the Class of 1973 got a jump on things and planted its tree over the weekend.

Jeff Van Riper sent these photos and said Tom Forner (Class of 73) from Traveling Trees supplied the tree and truck for the class tree.

The Chelsea Area Fire Authority will be on hand on May 6 to water the new trees once they are planted.
