Consider a year-end donation to Chelsea Center for the Arts

Time and time again, it’s been proven that the arts play an important role in a community.

So with the end of 2012 fast approaching, please consider making a donation to the Chelsea Center for the Arts, which relies on contributions from individuals, foundations and businesses for about 30 percent of its about $400,000 operating budget.

“Your tax-deductible gift will help enrich the community with CCA’s high quality programs that foster the creation, understanding and enjoyment of the arts,” says Lisa Baylis Gonzalez, executive director.

Artist at work.

Donations assist CCA in maintaining affordable music and visual art programs – classes, workshops, individual lessons, after-school art programs and summer art and music camps — for residents of all ages in the community.

It also helps CCA provide scholarships for students who cannot otherwise afford to participate in music or visual arts classes.

As a 501c3 charitable organization, CCA accepts gifts of cash, stock, appreciated securities, in-kind goods and services, and planned gifts which can be itemized as a deduction on your personal income taxes.

A gift of $30, $50, $75, or even $100, would make a huge difference to this non-profit.

If you decide assist the arts in Chelsea, checks should be made out to Chelsea Center for the Arts and mailed to 400 Congdon St., Chelsea, MI  48118.

You can call 433-2787 with any questions or even use a credit card for a donation.
