On Sunday, Feb. 7, Chelsea Area Fire Authority responded to a house fire on Roepke Road in Lyndon Township where a 2-story older farm house was fully involved in flames.
Fire Lt. Bill Regnier said the home was a total loss and the fire was believed to have started near the garage and extended into the home.
The occupants got out safely, he said, but initial reports indicated that a dog may still have been inside the home.
Chelsea fire was assisted by Stockbridge, Dexter, Putnam, Unadilla and Scio Township fire departments.
