You’ll want to mark your calendars for Wednesday, July 10 from 6:30-8 p.m. for this cool program at the Chelsea District Library.

PBS-featured Michigan author Doc Fletcher will lead a virtual canoe trip down the Pere Marquette and the Two Hearted River through his stories and photographs.

You don’t have to be a canoeing or kayaking enthusiast to enjoy the program, but you may become one by the time the evening ends, according to information from the library.

There will be a free drawing for a canoe/kayak day trip, as well as maps and livery brochures to help you plan your next paddling excursion.
