After-hours emergency services for your pets

Photo by Lisa Carolin. Nikki, a West Highland White Terrier.

It’s happened to many pet owners.

Your dog or cat suddenly hurts himself or gets sick after your regular veterinary hospital’s staff has left the office.

It could be in the middle of the night, a weekend or on a holiday. That doesn’t matter to you, your beloved pet needs medical help. Immediately.

Here are the after-hours options recommended by Lane Animal Hospital.

Michigan State University, East Lansing.  517-353-5420, www.cvm.msu.edu

Oakland Veterinary Referral Services, Bloomfield Hills. 248-334-6877 [email protected]

Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners, Ann Arbor.  734-971-8774 www.bluepearlvet.com

Ann Arbor Animal Hospital, Ann Arbor. 734-662-4474 www.annarboranimalhospital.com

I will warn you, however, these emergency services aren’t cheap, but, there are a number of after-hour emergency veterinary options when you need them the most.
