Why join the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce?

If you’re a Chelsea community business owner, joining the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce is something you should seriously consider.

When I began Chelsea Update about 5.5 years ago, joining the chamber was one of the first things I did, and I cannot begin to tell you how much help members and staff have provided to me, a new business owner during this time.

Why am I telling you about this now? Because the annual meeting takes place each February and it’s a don’t miss event. (And, yeah, because I just wrote a check for my 2018 membership.)

Plus, consider these facts:

There are more than 250 members, and networking with them can boost your business.

Your membership dues are tax deductible.

The more businesses involved in the chamber, the stronger we all become as a voice for the local economy.

Did I mention that Chelsea Update runs stories about chamber members each year?

There are six business breakfasts a year where you can meet other members and network your business with them. In addition, new businesses are offered ribbon cutting opportunities and about a dozen after hour networking events.

Each year, a small and large business leader of the year is chosen and honored from the member businesses. (Chelsea Update is proud to have been one of these honored businesses.)

Members can sign up to be a guest on the Lucy Ann Lance Business Insider radio show and/or be the focus of the chamber’s social media campaign.

Still not convinced?

Chamber members are also the first to learn about sponsorship opportunities for Chelsea events, which include the highly successful Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, Hometown Holiday, the Smoke and Ale Festival and the new Winter Curling Festival.
