(Chelsea Update would like to thank Transition Town Chelsea for the information in this story.)

On Monday, July 16, at 6: 30 p.m. Transition Town Chelsea will hold a pot luck at the Chelsea Senior Center followed by a talk from Cynthia Silveri, a landscape architect.

She will present some ideas for how eco-developments can be implemented.  She will talk about how planning and land use codes factor into the design equation, and show some examples of old and new projects around the country.

Silveri is a landscape architect by training and profession and an artist at heart.  She lives just outside Chelsea surrounded by nature and her own gardens.

Her past experience includes working in both the public and private sectors – primarily in the design of green infrastructure in urban environments.  She is currently a partner of Silveri Architects.

The potluck meal begins at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation starts at about 7:15 p.m.

If you are coming to the potluck meal, please bring a dish to pass and your own place settings.
