Attention runners of all ages.

There will be a special fundraising activity for the boys and girls track and field teams on Saturday, June 11, at 8:50 a.m. at the Chelsea High School track.  It is a 2-mile track/XC run around the athletic fields south of the track. The start and finish takes place on the track, and it’s a flat, fast course.

Please arrive between 8-8:40 a.m. on race day to register.

This is a great event for kids of all ages, adults, friends, and families. Plus, walkers are welcome as well. Come challenge yourself and enjoy a beautiful morning.   The cost is only $5, and will include a special award for all finishers.

The proceeds will help support Chelsea’s boys and girls track teams. Please register at the tent near the finish line prior to the race.

And as a special treat, Chelsea and U-M graduate and varsity runner August Pappas will be on site representing the Ann Arbor Running Company. He will be available for pictures, autographs, or just to hang out.

August is a former Chelsea High School record holder, state champion, all-region runner for U of M, and multiple time All-Academic Big Ten Athlete.

August has a 10K PR of 29:29 and a 5K PR of 14:05. Everyone is invited to meet one of Chelsea’s finest student athletes.
