June 14: What to expect at Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights

Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, presented by Rick Taylor Real Estate – Reinhart Realtors continues its free summer concert series Thursday, June 14 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m.

Professional artists perform at nine staged areas located throughout downtown Chelsea featuring music, dance, comedy, and family entertainment.

The diverse music line-up celebrates the concert series’ 14th anniversary and features Americana folk artists Annie and Rod Capps at South Street.

Dorekestra returns to E. Middle Street with their very own “Trans-Genre American Dork” style music and singer-songwriter Chey Halliwell performs at East Alley.

New artists to Sounds and Sights include monster country band, Fangs and Twang, at the Glazier stage and the classic rock-blues band, Red Herring at the Clocktower Gazebo.

Chelsea District Library hosts Korner Stage: A Touch of Magic with Michigan magicians Jeff Wawrzaszek and Ming the Magnificent. Spectators of all ages will be delighted by sleight-of-hand, illusions, and more.

There is something for the whole family including Eric the Juggler and balloon animals created by 3 Generations Twisters.

Chelsea Chalk Art returns with free “How to Chalk” seminars each week beneath the Clocktower. This week the focus is “How to Chalk the Enchanted Forest”.  Chalk is provided thanks to a grant from Michigan Council of Arts and Cultural Affairs and The Arts Alliance.

The Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights concert series runs every Thursday, June 7 to Aug. 16.
