Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, presented by Rick Taylor Real Estate – Reinhart Realtors continues its free summer concert series Thursday, June 21 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Professional artists perform at nine staged areas located throughout downtown Chelsea featuring music, comedy, and family entertainment.

The diverse music lineup features Cold Tone Harvest, who recently released its new album “After You”, at the South Street stage. Chelsea House Orchestra (CHO) returns to E. Middle Street with Celtic style music, and Five Miles More performs jazz and blues at the Glazier building.

New artists to Sounds and Sights include classic rockers Cellar Cats at the Clocktower Gazebo. Two talented high school students, Chelsea Paddock and Sarah Grace Cattell, make their debut at the East Alley singer-songwriter stage.  Chelsea Paddock performs 6:30 to 7:20 p.m. and Sarah Grace Cattell takes the stage 7:30 till 8:30 p.m.

Don’t miss the clean and family friendly comedy event performed by ComedySportz at the Chelsea District Library’s Korner Stage. Two teams will battle for laughs and points as they make up scenes, games, and songs on the spot. Laugh as the referee calls out the fouls, and then vote for the winners.

Children are invited to make-and-take summer bags at the stage behind the Clocktower Complex (limited quantities are available). They can also find unique balloon animals created by 3 Generations Twisters at the Main Street balloon station.

Spectators wishing to learn to draw are encouraged to visit the Chelsea Chalk Art area beneath the Chelsea iconic Clocktower on Main Street. Chalk and drawing examples are provided for free to all ages and levels of expertise.  The theme on June 21 is “How to draw Star Wars®”.

There are several new sights around town, including the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce’s Guitars for Good, sponsored by Tammy Lehman of Lehman and Scheffler Real Estate Services.

Local nonprofits decorated acoustic guitars and have them displayed at various businesses throughout Chelsea. Visitors can vote on their favorite guitar and enter into a drawing to win the guitar for one dollar. The proceeds will be given to the 12 charities. After Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, SRSLY Cinema presents free outdoor movies at dusk. This week SRSLY presents Despicable Me 3 (PG).
