Breathe Yoga and Robin Hills Farm will host the 2nd Annual Summer Solstice Festival: ZenTri and Community Celebration at Robin Hills Farm, Friday, June 23 from 5:30-9:30 p.m.

The triathlon event will consist of an untimed 5K run or walk, a 30-minute yoga practice, and a 15-minute guided meditation. The 5K follows along the nature trail at Robin Hills Farm, which weaves throughout the entire property and features a variety of environments both rugged and picturesque. Woodland, prairie, and wetland environments will be traversed with views of beautiful agricultural landscapes including the mushroom forest, the organic garden, and the livestock ranch where sheep and free-range chickens will be grazing.

The 30-minute yoga practice that follows is designed especially for post-distance recovery and will be led by Breathe Yoga instructors. Finally, the 15-minute guided meditation will serve to complete the mind/body connection, leaving participants feeling energized and rested going into the weekend.

Registration is open, and $35 “early bird” ticket sales will end at 11:59 pm on June 16. Prices go up to $40 on June 17.

Ticket prices include race registration, entry into the festival, a t-shirt, race snacks, and water. A portion of race entries will go to benefit the Interfaith Council of Peace and Justice.

The rest of the festival will feature live music by local Chelsea bands, Risky Brenda and Sometimes Pretty, children’s activities, local vendors including food from Thompson’s Pizza, and a beer tent. Entrance into the festival is $5/person or $20/family.

Thank you to this year’s event sponsors, Greg Sadler Photography, Underground Printing, Hewitt Chiropractic, KIND Snacks, Epic Races, Athleta, and Busch’s Fresh Food Market, for their generous donations.
