(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

Last Friday, Chelsea High School Key Club had a welcome party for incoming members at Pierce Park. In addition to food and games, painting the rock was on the agenda.

The Key Club meets every other Friday morning at 7:30 in the room of their faculty advisor, Ms. Segal.

Last Sunday afternoon, 13 awesome members of the University of Michigan Circle K Club picked up the litter on both sides of the three mile stretch of I-94 between Freer and Pierce roads. Sixty bags of trash were filled to be picked up by the Michigan Department of Transportation as part of the State’s Adopt a Highway Program.

Chelsea Kiwanis has participated since the program’s inception in 1990. We encourage drivers on I-94 to properly dispose of trash.

Thanks go to Allen Cole, who has graciously offered Cole Funeral Chapel as the site for Chelsea’s Kids Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 31. There will be a pumpkin carving contest, Halloween costume judging and prizes, cider and doughnuts, and more. Details will follow.
