Eight-year-old Kyanne Hill really loves the City of Chelsea.
So much so, she wrote a letter to the mayor and City Council telling them that she loved Chelsea, the library and the schools, among other things.
The mayor and council were so moved by this hand-written letter that they asked Kyanne to attend a city council meeting on Feb. 6.
Once there, she not only led the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of the meeting, but also received a proclamation from the city during the meeting.
Calling it her first achievement as a citizen of Chelsea, Mayor Jason Lindauer read and presented Kyanne with a framed proclamation calling her an outstanding young citizen of the city.
“We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you,” Lindauer said.
