Lima Township looking for a clerk, Planning Commission member and alternate to the Board of Review

The Lima Township Board is looking for township residents interested in filling the clerk’s position, a Planning Commission member spot and a Board of Review alternate member.

Longtime Clerk Arlene Bareis announced last month she is resigning as of Dec. 31, 2015 , so the clerk’s position would run from Jan. 1, 2016-Nov. 20, 2016. This an elected position so if interested, the person filling this vacancy could run for the position in the November 2016 election.

The vacancy on the Planning Commission and the alternate Board of Review spots are due to Bill Coury moving out of state.  Both of these positions are Township Board appointments.

The board is accepting resumes and letters of interest until noon on Oct. 5 for the three open positions. Please specify which position you are interested in.

Resumes and letters of interest may be mailed to the Lima Township Supervisor Craig Maier, P.O. Box 59, Chelsea, MI 48118. Or, you can drop them off to Maier during regular business hours, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m.-noon at Township Hall, 12172 Jackson Road.
