Mary Stewart, coordinator of the local Warm The Children program, was the guest speaker at a recent Kiwanis Club of Chelsea meeting.
Stewart’s father started the national program in Connecticut in 1988.
The program helped with clothing needs of approximately 3,000 area children this past year, and the Kiwanis Club has been providing volunteer shoppers for the program annually.
