Downtown Chelsea welcomes a new business to 109 W. Middle St.
The doctor-focused firm, MD Wealth Management LLC, opened on Aug. 31 and will have its official opening on Sept.18.
Andrew Musbach, a Saline native, and his brother-in-law Trent DeBruin, originally from Wisconsin, work together in the business of financial planning services.
They are the third generation to be in the historic office building purchased by Musbach’s grandfather in 1982.
“My late grandfather, Arden Musbach, lived in the upstairs of the building in the late 1940s during his high school years,” said Andrew Musbach. “The building was the first place Arden and his family lived when they moved from their farm following World War II. 109 West Middle Street was always special to Arden, and he purchased the building in 1982 for Andrew’s father, Randy Musbach, to start his law career.”
Andrew Musbach says that Chelsea has always held good memories, and he and DeBruin believe it’s important to be close to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital as well as Ann Arbor.
“We chose this business because we want to help people,” said Musbach. “Finances are consistently ranked as the number one stressor for Americans, and most people are not clear on what life goals they want to achieve with their financial resources. We recognize that a good financial advisor can have a significant positive impact on the financial and emotional wellbeing of an individual or family. In fact, a primary focus of our company is to improve the quality of doctors’ lives by allowing them to allocate time and energy that would be spent managing finances to other, more fulfilling areas of their lives.”
MD Wealth Management LLC offers both financial planning and investment management process for physicians in all life stages. Musbach and DeBruin use a fee-only approach that focuses on comprehensive financial planning services.
The brothers-in-law formerly worked in Chicago at separate firms.
