The Chelsea Downtown Development Authority is expected to discuss the Jackson Street parking lot project bids at a meeting on Oct. 2.
The DDA received three bids for a base plan and an alternative plan, which would include curb and gutter around the parking lot.
Also expected is a discussion of a proposed draft resolution for a utility assistance program, which would help fund utility upgrades for existing buildings in the DDA area.
The original program was first approved by the DDA in April 2011 as a way to attract new businesses and redevelopment to the downtown district to offset some of the costs for utility hook-ups and $300,000 was allocated to fund the program in 2011-2012, $350,000 in 2012-2013 and $150,000 in 2014-1015.
The DDA meets at 7:30 a.m. in the council chambers of the new police building.
