Oct. 26: Informational meeting about ET Rover pipeline project

State Rep. Gretchen Driskell, D-Saline, will host an informational meeting about the ET Rover pipeline project on Sunday, Oct. 26, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Creekside Intermediate School, 2615 Baker Road, Dexter.

She has invited local government officials, representatives from ET Rover and concerned residents to join her to discuss the natural gas pipeline project.

This is the second public meeting Driskell has hosted on the proposed pipeline in recent weeks. Last week, she facilitated a meeting between officials from ET Rover and local governments in the affected areas.

Sunday’s public meeting will include an update about the information gathered from ET Rover.

The proposed natural gas transmission pipeline, called the ET Rover Project, is being proposed by a subsidiary of a Texas-based company Energy Transfer Partners. A 42-inch pipeline will run up from the Ohio border through Lenawee County and pass through western Washtenaw County, including the townships of Manchester, Bridgewater, Freedom, Lima, and Dexter on its way to Sarnia, Canada.

Township officials, affected property owners and concerned citizens are encouraged to attend.
