The annual Harvest Art Market will take place on Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Silver Maples of Chelsea.

The best little art market around featuring a “market mix” of great art, including glass, mixed media, pottery, fiber arts, folk art, jewelry, photography… and so much more. Featured artists include Cheryl Green, Susan Falcone, Linda Wurtzel, Michele Friss, Sandra Somers, and Sarah Brunette’s ACME Market.

Sandy Crump is a Philadelphia artist was inspired by her very special BFF, Kelly, who loved reading and writing, travel, cooking, languages, art and design, chocolate and coffee, pet names, and most of all, people.

Crump, whose parents live in Chelsea, received her first commission from Kelly, who was an enthusiastic crafter and was always interested in her beaded jewelry.

“When she saw my beaded leather wrap bracelets, she started snatching them up and giving them to her friends.’ I’ve got your first commission,’ she texted one day, after prodding Crump to open a business. ‘Get crackin!’ So she did.

And soon she opened a little shop called Miss KooRoo’s Beads.

Even though Kelly passed away in early in 2014, her enthusiasm for Crump’s jewelry inspired her to nurture the cottage industry, producing things she would love – colorful beaded creations in simple, elegant designs, made with quality materials.
